Aspirin mask for hyperpigmentation, blackheads, pimples – a proven recipe

Aspirin in mask

Aspirin mask is a classic cosmetic used by our grandmothers, mothers and aunts. Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) acts as in the case of acidic treatment by cosmetologist and effectively helps in the fight against mild acne, blackheads and redness after breakouts. Unfortunately, it is also an invasive procedure and is not suitable for sensitive, vascular skin. Check how to make an aspirin mask.

An aspirin mask is a great way to get rid of facial imperfections. All pimples, blackheads , blackheads and acne discoloration can be compensated by using an aspirin mask regularly or by applying aspirin on the spot (also for herpes). Why exactly aspirin? All because aspirin (as well as polopyrin) contains acetylsalicylic acid , which has drying and deep cleansing properties. Treatment with an aspirin mask is compared to acid treatment in a beauty salon (of course, the action of the home mask is weaker).

Aspirin mask – for whom?

Aspirin mask is suitable in principle for all skin types, but it should be considered by people who have a sensitive , very dry and  vascular complexion – people with such skin problems should very carefully choose cosmetics, because they are constantly exposed to irritation. The mask of aspirin or polopyrine works best for mixed , oily , prone to acne, problematic skin . With regular use, you can notice a marked improvement in the condition of the skin, reduce the number of blackheads, small pimples, lighten discoloration.

  • Warning! An aspirin mask will help get rid of skin impurities, but this is only superficial help. If you are struggling with acne and have serious skin problems, it is better to contact your dermatologist or endocrinologist. No mask cures the causes of skin diseases.

Few people have typical oily skin. Such people usually struggle with acute form of acne , which is one of the contraindications to the use of aspirin mask . Most of the ladies and gentlemen have a classic mixed skin – fat and shining in the T zone, dry on the cheeks and eyelids. Eczema and imperfections with this type of complexion appear periodically on occasion of, for example , menstruation , changes in the weather, illness. For this skin, it is best to use a face mask – apply the aspirin from the forehead, nose, beard and other problem areas. Treatment of the entire face with acetylsalicylic acid may irritate sensitive areas.

Recipe for aspirin (polopyrin) mask

Ingredients of the aspirin mask:

  • 3-4 aspirin tablets
  • (6-7 polopyridine tablets)
  • a small teaspoon of water (preferably distilled or hydrolate)
  • a small spoon of natural yoghurt or Greek yoghurt (if the consistency is too thick, then it is best to add a little yogurt)

Method of preparing the mask : aspirin or polopyrine tablets put in a bowl and pour a little water (it is best to add a little bit so that the tablets have a chance to swell). Then crush the soft tablets thoroughly into a homogeneous paste and add a tablespoon of natural yogurt without added sugar, dyes, taste. Receive the mask applied on the whole face or only on individual batches. Wait for 10-15 minutes and wash the mask with lukewarm water.

  • Before you wash the mask, you can do a gentle face scrub . The remaining particles after crushing the tablet are perfect for collecting dead, exfoliated epidermis.

Recipe for an aspirin mask – how to spice up the mask?

Have you tried the classic aspirin mask and are happy with the results? Now you can add interesting cosmetic accessories to your favorite mask. If you know that honey does not make you sensitive, you can instead of yogurt mix aspirin with a spoon of honey. You can also add a few drops of your favorite oil or oil to your face mask. Instead of water you can use oil (eg from Tamanu) to soften the tablets

Aspirin mask – how often to apply it?

To see the effects of treatment with an aspirin mask you have to be systematic. If you see that the mask leaves your skin in good condition, then try to apply it systematically, eg once a week. Over time, when the bumps appear only periodically, you can apply the mask only once a month or when you notice deterioration of the skin condition.

Do not overuse treatments with a mask. Aspirin dries the skin, which in the case of oily and combination skin, gives the skin a signal to produce sebum. By applying the mask every day or every few days, you can achieve the opposite effect in a short time. As in the case of professional procedures in the office, it is best to wait a few days after each mask with aspirin, but perform the treatments regularly.

Aspirin mask – side effects

Aspirin masks should not:

  • people with severe skin problems, open wounds, a serious form of acne,
  • pregnant women,
  • people who are allergic to any of the ingredients included in the recipe,
  • holders of very dry, sensitive skin prone to irritation.

Aspirin mask – do not take any risks, do an allergy test

Why bother you with your eruptions and redness on your skin? Remember that you treat your face with acid and prepare for it better. Make a small amount of mask (from one or two tablets) and apply to a small area of the skin. If for a few minutes you do not feel the burning, itching or pain, and after washing the mask, the skin will be in perfect condition, then you can try the whole procedure.
