A home treatment based on natural products for seborrheic dermatitis.

Shampoos against seborrheic dermatitis

If you have seborrheic dermatitis, you know how persistent it is and how difficult it can be to eliminate it completely. Among its most worrisome symptoms are hair loss and scalp irritation. It is usually recommended the treatment based on shampoos and specific products (Ketopirox, Minoxidil, Ketoconazole, Sebiprox, Ciclochem, Pirotex, …) but all of them can increase the irritation of the scalp and cause other side effects such as increasing hair loss. Perhaps the softest and best results are Ciclochem, but …

Do we have other more effective and healthy alternatives?

The healthy alternative Homemade shampoo

In cases where seborrheic dermatitis is associated with hair loss, we must pay special attention to what we use in our head. The shampoos and commercial products named above cause a significant rebound effect, tend to increase the irritation of the scalp and leave the hair quite broken which requires us to use other products such as masks, conditioners, etc. that increase dermatitis with what we start again. It is the whiting that bites its tail.

We use shampoos with chemical products that force us to use other products, which at the same time cause irritation, hair loss and other side effects . This ends up forcing us to go to other professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, etc. and we enter a circle from which it is difficult to leave.

That is the time to start using something more natural, without side effects and in many cases more effective: the homemade shampoo .

Apple cider vinegar and bicarbonate

Searching on the Internet or better in a library, you will discover how our great-grandparents washed their hair before the commercial shampoos appeared. They were washed with apple vinegar and bicarbonate.

Maybe you will miss the smell of strawberries, honey or whatever, but whoever is fighting seborrheic dermatitis and knows what it takes to get rid of it, what he needs is a good result .

On the one hand we have the vinegar . Very effective against all types of dirt and also the smell of vinegar disappears completely when we rinse the hair. It does not leave any odor but leaves it completely clean and without any trace of dirt, grease or chemicals, so the irritation of the scalp eventually disappears and with it also seborrheic dermatitis.

On the other hand, the bicarbonate acts by cleaning the entire scalp, eliminating grease and substances that have adhered to the hair.

The combination of vinegar and bicarbonate has the right pH for the scalp so that the hair does not dry out and remains perfect after rinsing.

From the second or third wash, you start to notice the results, firstly about the scalp that loses the reddish tone of the irritation and later on the hair loss that begins to diminish. And eliminate the fat and waste of other products just beat seborrheic dermatitis .

Preparation of homemade shampoo for seborrheic dermatitis

This is the way it is prepared and used. We can have the ingredients prepared at home and prepare the shampoo moments before washing our heads with what will still be more effective.

  • Apple vinager.
  • Two glasses of water

  • In a glass with water add two or three tablespoons of baking soda.
  • In another glass with water we add half a finger of apple cider vinegar, more or less.

Application form :

  • You rinse with water until all the bicarbonate is removed.
  • You now pour the glass with water and vinegar, massaging gently again. It is the second phase of cleaning.
