Choosing fresh seasonal foods is one of the best decisions you can make to improve your diet. Discover its advantages and the most natural months to enjoy each of them.

FRUITS AND VEGETABLES FOR JANUARY SEASON

It is a good month for roots and green leaves, especially bitter lettuce and leafy greens. Citrus fruits are at their peak and many of the fruits that started to ripen in autumn are still left.

Winter continues, with nature still quite asleep. Some autumn fruits decay or disappear, although most leaves, roots and citrus endure the cold. At the same time, the first signs appear that we are moving towards a new season, like asparagus.

The whole month seems like a countdown towards spring and nature is already timidly awakening around us. Winter fruits and vegetables coexist with the first fruits of the season that brings good weather.

  • In good season:  date, kiwi, medlar.
